ިދިވެހިރާއްޖެއަކީ ބައެއް ކަހަލަ ކަންކަމުގައި އެހެން ޤައުމުތަކާއި ވަރަށް އެއްގޮތް ކަންތައްތަކެއް ހުންނަ ޤައުމެކެވެ. މިގޮތުން މިސްރާއި ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއަކީވެސް އިސްލާމީ ދެ ޤައުމުގެ އިތުރުންވެސް ފާހަގަ ކޮށްލެވޭ ގިނަ ކަންތައްތަކެއްގާ އެއްގޮތް ދެ ޤައުމެވެ. މިސްރުގެ އަޒްހަރު ޔުނިވަރސިޓީން ކިޔަވާ ވިދާޅުވުމަށްފަހުން ރާއްޖެވަޑައިގެން ރާއްޖޭގައި ތިރީސް އަހަރުގެ ވެރިކަމެއް ކުރެއްވި ކުރީގެ ރައީސް އަލްއުސްތާޛް މައުމޫން ޢަބްދުލް ޤައްޔޫމުގެ ވެރިކަން، ރައްޔިތުން ނިމުމަކަށް ގެނެސްފައިވަނީ އެއީ ޚުދުމުޚްތާރު ވެރިކަމެއްކަމަށް ބުނެ މަގުމައްޗަށް ނިކުމެގެންނެވެ

އެއްވެސް ޝައްކެއްނެތް ގޮތުގައި ދިވެހި އެއްމެރައްޔިތުންވެސް އިޒްރޭލުން ފަލަސްތީންގެ ރައްޔިތުން ކަތިލާ ކތިލުން ކުއްވެރިކުރެއްވެ. ދިވެހި ސަރުކާރުންވެސް މިކަން ކުއްވެރިކުރައެވެ. އަދި ދިވެހި ސަރުކާރުންވަނީ ފަލްސްތީނަކީ މިނިވަން ދައުލަތެއް ކަމުގަ ބަލާގެއްނެވުމައްވެސް ގޮވާލާފައެވެ. އިޒްރޭލާއެކު ދިވެހި ސަރުކާރުން ސިޔާސީ ގުޅުމެއް ގާއިމް ކުރުމަކީ އެއްގޮތަކައްވެސް އިސްރޭލުން ފަލަސްތީންގެ ރައްޔިތުން މެރުމައް ދިވެހި ސަރުކާރުން ބައިވެރިވަނީއެއް ނޫނެވެ. މީގެ ކުރިންވެސް ދިވެހި ސަރުކާރުން ވަނީ އިޒްރޭލާއެކު ސިޔާސީ ގުޅުން ގާއިމް ކޮއްފައެވެ. މިހާރު މި ޖެހިގެން އުޅޭ މައްސަލައަކީ ޑިމޮކްރަސީގެ ރީތި އުސޫލާއެއްގޮތައް އެއްމަންށް އެގިގެން މިގުޅުން ގާއިމް ކުރާތީއެވެ.

އިޒްރޭލްގެ ޑޮކްޓަރުން ރާއްޖެއަޢީ މި ރާއްޖޭގައި ތިބި ބަލިމީހުންނައް އިންސާނީ އެހީއެއް ފޯރުކޮއްދޭށެވެ. ކޮއްމެއަކސް އަޅުގަޑުމެން ވިސްނަން ޖެހޭކަމަކީ އެއީ ޑޮކްޓަރުން ކަމުގައެވެ. އެއްގޮތަކައްވެސް އިންސާނުންގެ ގުނަވަންތައް ވަގައްނަގާބަޔެއް ކަމުގައްނޫނެވެ. އަދި އެ ޑޮކްޓަރުން ރާއްޖެއައީ ރާއްޖޭގެ މެޑިކަލް ކައުންސިލްގެ ހުއްދަ ލިބިގެއްނެ މި ރާއްޖޭގައި މިފަދަ ފަރުވާއެއް އަމިއްލައަށް ހޯދަން ދަތިވެފައި ތިބި އެތއް ބަޔަކައް އެހީވުމަށެވެ.

ބަޔެއް ސިޔާސީ ފަރާއްތަކުން އިޒްރޭލްގެ ޑޮކްޓަރުން ރާއްޖެ އައުމުން ރައްޔިތުންނައް އެކި ގޮތްގޮތައް ވިސްނަދީގެން ސިޔާސީ މަންފާއެއް ހޯދަން މިއަދު މިކުރާ މަސއްކަތަކީ ވަރއްވެސް ހިތާމަހުރި ކަމެކެވެ. މިހާރުވެސް އޭޑިކޭ ހޮސްޕިޓަލްގަ އިޒްރޭލްގެ ދެ ޑޮޓަރުން އެބައުޅެއެވެ. މި ދެ ޑޮކްޓަރުން އުޅޭތާ މިހާރު އަހަރުތަކެއް ވެދާނެއެވެ. ނަމަވެސް މިކަން އެއްވެސް ސިޔާސީ އިދިކޮޅު ފަރާއްތަކައް މައްސަލަ އަކައްނުވިއެވެ.

ރާއްޖެ ކަހަލަ ފަގީރު އެއްވެސް އުފެއްދުންތެރި ކަމެއްނެތް ގައުމަކައް އެހެން ގައުމުތަކާ ނުގުޅި އުޅުމަކީ މިހާރު ވާނެކަމެއްނޫނެވެ. އަލިފާން ދަޑިއެއް ގެއްނަން ޖެހުނަސް ގެއަނަން ޖެހޭނީ މިދައްނަވާ ކާފަރުން އުޅޭ ގައުމަކުއްނެވެ. އެމެރިކާއިން އިރާގަށާ އަފްގާނިސްތާނައް އަރާ އެގައުމު ތަކުގެ އެތައްބަޔަކު މެރިއެވެ. އެހަނަސް އެމެރިކާ ސިޔާސީ ގުޅުން ބޭއްވުން އެއްވެސް މައްސަލައަކައް ނުވިއެވެ. އިޒްރޭލްގެ ފްލައިޓްތައް ރާއްޖެއަށް އޮޕަރޭޓް ކުރަން ފަށައިފި ނަމަ ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުން ނުކުމެ އެއާޕޯރްޓް ބަންދު ކުރާނެ ކަމައް އަދާލަތު ޕާޓީން ބުނި ބުނުމަކީ އެއްވެސް ތާކުންތާކު ޖެހޭވާހަކެއްނޫނެވެ. ހުރިހާވެސް މައްސަލައަކީ އަޅުގަޑުމެންގެ ތެރޭގައި ދީނީ ހަރުކަށި މީހުން އުޅޭތީއެވެ. ރަސޫލާގެ ހަދީސްތައް އޮޅުވާލައިގެން އުޅޭ ބަޔަކު އުޅޭތީއެވެ. ރަސޫލާގެ ހަދީސް ފުޅެއްގައި ވާކަމައްވެ '' ތިޔަބައި މީހުން ހިގާފައިދާއިރު ކާފަރަކު ކުރިމައްޗައް ޖެހިއްޖެ ނަމަ ފިޒިކަލީ އެމީހަކު ކޮއްޕާ އަނެއްފަރާތައް ލާށެވެ'' މި ހަދީސް އަކީ އަޅުގަޑުމެންގެ ތެރޭ އުޅޭ ބަޔެއް ހަރުކަށި މީހުން ގަބޫލް ކުރާ ހަދީސް އެކެވެ. ނަމަވެސް އިސްލާމްދީންގެ ބަޔެއް ދައްނަބޭކަލުން ވިދާޅުވާ ގޮތުގައި މިއީ ސައްހަ ހަދީސް އެއްނޫނެވެ. ތުބުޅިލާފަ ފައިކުރި ކުރުކޮފަ ތިބި މީހުން އިޒްރޭލުން ރާއްޖެއައި ޑޮކްޓަރުންނަކީ ގުނަވަންތައް ވަގައްނަގާ ބަޔެއްކަމުގަ ކޮވަގޮވާ ތިއްބާވެސް އެ ޑޮކްޓަރުންކައިރިން އެތައް ރައްޔިތުންނެއް ފަރުވާ ހޯދިކަމީ ީ މަދު ހަރުކަށި ހައްދުފަހަނައަޅަފަތިބި ބަޔަކު ގޮވާލި ގޮވާލުން ރައްޔިތުން ގަބޫލް ނުކުރާކަން ދޭހަވިކަމެވެ.

އެމްޑީޕީ ސަރުކާރައް ދެއަހަރު ފުރޭއިރު ސަރުކާރުން ކޮށްދީފައިވާ ބޮޑެތި ކަންތައްތައް

އެގާރަ ނޮވެމްބަރ 2008 ގަ ދިވެހި ރާއްޖޭގެ ރައީސުލް ޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ ކަމުގެ ހުވާ ގ.ކެނެރީގެ މުހައްމަދު ނަޝީދު ކުރެއްވިތާ މާދަމާއަށް 2 އަހަރު ފުރެނީއެވެ. ފާއިތުވެގެން މިދިޔަ ދުވަސްތަކުގަ ސަރުކާރުން ވަނީ ރާއްޖޭގެ ހިންގުމުގެ ދާއިރާއަށާ ރައްފުށުގެ ތަރައްގީއަށް ބޮޑެތިބަދަލުތަކެއްގެނެސްފައެވެ.ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުންގެ ޑިމޮކްރެޓިކް ޕާޓީ ވެރިކަމަށް އައީ އެތައް ކުދިޕާޓީ ތަކާއެކު އިއްތިހާދުވެ ވަތަން އެދޭއިއްތިހާދުގެ ނަމުގަ އެމްޑީޕީގެ މެނިފެސްޓޯ ރައްޔިތުން ގަބޫލުކޮށްގެންނެވެ. ނަމަވެސް ވެރިކަމައް ދަހިވެތި ވެފަތިބިލެއް ބޮޑުކަމުން ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ވައުދުވީ ކަންތައް ހަދާން ނައްތާލާ ވެރިކަމަށް އެއްމެ 14 ވަނައަށް ވީދުވަހު ޖުމްހޫރީ ޕާޓީގެ ލީޑަރު ގާސިމް އިބްރާހިމް އެބޭފުޅާ ރައީސުލް ޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ ހަވާލުކޮއްފައިވާ މަސްއޫލިއްޔަތު( ހޯމް މިނިސްޓަރ) ކަމުގެ މަގާމުން އިސްތިއުފާ ދިނުމައްފަހު އިދިކޮޅު ފަރާއްތަކާއި ގުޅިގެން ސަރުކާރު ހިންގެވުމަށް އެކިގޮތް ގޮތުން އުދަގޫކުރަން ފެށިއެވެ. ގާސިމް އިސްތިއުފާދިންތާ 86 ވަނައަށްވީ ދުވަހު ރައީސްގެ އެޑްވައިޒަރ ކަމުގެ މަގާމުގައި ހުއްނެވި ދިވެހި ގައުމީ ޕާޓީގެ ރައީސް ޑރ ހަސަން ސައީދު އިސްތުއުފާ ދެއްވާ އިދިކޮޅު ފރާއްތަކާ ގުޅިގެން ސަރުކާރަށް ދުއްތުރާ ކުރަން ފެށިއެވެ. މިބޭފުޅުއްނަކީ އެމްޑީޕީގެ މެނިފެސްޓޯ ގައިވާ ވައުދުތައް ފުއްދުމަށް ދިވެހި ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ވައުދުވީ މީހުންނެވެ. ރާއްޖޭގެ ރައްތަޢް 7 ޕޮރޮވިންސައް ބަހަން ވައުދުވެ ސަރުކާރުގެ ޕްރިވަޓައިޒޭޝަންގެ ސިޔާސަތައް ތާއިދުކުރި ބޭފުޅުންނެވެ. ނަމަވެސް މިހާރު ސީދާ ފާޅުގަ ރައްޔިތުންނަށް އޮޅޭގޮތައް ގައުމަށް ފައިދާހުރިކަންތައްކަން އިގޭޢިރުވެސްމިކަންތައްތަކާ ދެކޮޅުހަދަނީ ސިޔާސީގޮތުން ވަކިމީހަކައް ކުރިލިބިދާނެތީއެވެ.

ނަމަވެސް މިހުރިހާ ކަންތަކައް ގޮންޖެހުމައްފަހު އަޅުގަޑުމެންގެ ރައީސުލް ޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ ދަނީ ރާއްޖޭގެ ތަރައްގީއައް މަސައްކައް ކުރަމުންނެވެ. މިގޮތުން ދައުލަތުގެ ހަރަދު ކުޑަކުރެއްވުމަށް ސަރުކާރުގެ މުއައްޒަފުންގެ މުސާރަ ކުޑަކުރެއްވުން ކަހަލަ އެތައްކަމެއްވަނީ ކޮއްފައެވެ. އިދިކޮޅުފަރާއްތަކުން މުއަޒަފުންގެ މުސާރަ ކުޑަކުރި މައްސަލަވެސް ވަނީ ކޯޓަށް ހުށަހަޅާފައެއވެ. އެހަނަސް 09.11.2010 ގަ އައިއެމްއެފް އިން ނެރުނު ބަޔާނުގަވަނީ ސަރުކާރުގަ އެނިއްމުމަށް ތައުރީފްކޮއްފަ އެވެ.

ދެއަހަރު ފުރޭއިރު ސަރުކާރުން ކޮއްދިން ކަންތަކަކީ ބޭސްފަރުވާއަށް ސަލާން ޖެހުން ހުއްޓުވުމުގެ ގޮތުން މަދަނަ ކިޔާ ޕޮރޮގްރާމް އެއް ތައާރަފް ކޮއް ކޮއްމެ ރައްޔިތަކައްވެސް ބޭސްފަރުވާ ކުރެވޭނެގޮތް ހަމަޖައްސާފައެވެ. އެއްރަށުން އަނެއްރަށައް ދަތުރުކުރެވޭނެ ނިޒާމްއެއް ހަމަޖައަސަދީފައެވެ. މިނިޒާމުގެ ސަބަބުން އެއްރަށުގެ ހިދުމަތް އަނެއްރަށައްލިބި، ވިޔަފާރީގެފުރުސަތު ފަހިވެ، އަޅުގަޑުމެން މިއެދޭ ތަރައްގީދަނީ ލިބެމުއްނެވެ. 65 އަހަރުން މަތީގެ މުސްކުޅިންނަށް ދެއްވާ 2000 ރުފިޔާއާއި، އެކަނިވެރި މައިންނައްދޭ އިނާޔަތްތައް ހިމެނެއެވެ. މީގެ އިތުރުން ފްލެޓް އެޅުމާއި، ބިންހިއްކުމާ، ފަޅުފުންކުރުން ފަދައެތައްކަމެއް ހިމެނެއެވެ. ނޮވެމްބަރު 2008ކުން މިއަހަރުގެ އޮކްޓޯބަރުމަހުގެ ނިޔަލަށް ރާއްޖޭގެ 27ރަށެއްގެ ބަނދަރު ވަނީ ހަދާފައެވެ. މިދިޔައަހަރުން ފެށިގެން މިހާތަނަށް ރަށެއްގެ ނަރުދަމާގެ ނިޒާމު ޤާއިމްކޮށް މުޅީން ނިމިފައިވާއިރު 32ރަށެއްގެ ޑިޒައިން މަސައްކަތްވެސް ވަނީ ނިމިފައެވެ. މިހާރު ކުރިޔަށްދަނީ 10 ރަށެއްގެ ފެނުގެ ނިޒާމުގެ މަސައްކަތާއި ނަރުދަމާ ނިޒާމުޤާއިމްކުރުމަށް އިތުރު 16 ރަށެއްގެ ބީލަންތައް ދިރާސާކުރުމުގެ މަސައްކަތެވެ. މިވަރުގެ މަޝްރޫޢެއް މިއިން ޒަމާނަކުވެސް ރާއްޖޭގައި ކުރެވިފައެއް ނުވެއެވެ. މުޅި ރާއްޖޭގައި ފްލެޓްތައް އަޅައި އަތްފޯރާ އަގުގައި ބޯހިޔާވަހިކަން ފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމުގެ ގޮތުން މާލޭގައި ފުރަތަމަ ޢިމާރާތްކުރާ ހައުސިންގ ޔުނިޓް ބިލްޑިންގ ގެ ބިންގާވެސް މިއަދު ހެނދުނު ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ އެވަނީ އަޅުއްވައިދެއްވާފައެވެ. މާދަމާ ހުޅުމާލޭގަ 1000 ފްލެޓް ފްލެޓް ދޮންބެ އަޅުއްވާ ދެއްވާނެއެވެ.ހދ.ކުޅުދުއްފުއްޓާއި ނ. މަނަދޫއާ ޅ. ނައިފަރުގައި 25 ރޯހައުސް އެޅުމަށް މިހާރު ވަނީ ހަވާލުކުރެވިފައެވެ. ހުވަދުއަތޮޅު ކޮލަމާފުށްޓާ ތިނަދޫ މިއިން ކޮންމެ ރަށެއްގައިވެސް ހަމައެފަދަ 3 ކޮޓަރީގެ އެޕާޓްމެންޓް ހުންނަ 25 ރޯހައުސް އެޅުމަށް ޙަވާލުކޮށްފިއެވެ. އެމްޑީޕީގެ ވަޢުދުތައް ފުއްދުމުގެ ގޮތުން ށ އަތޮޅުގައި 100 ހައުސިންގ ޔުނިޓް އެޅުމަށްދަނީ ރާވަމުއްނެވެ.ސަރުކާރުގެ ވައުދުތައް ފުއްދުމަށެވެ. މިފަދައެތައްކަމެއް މިހާރު ދަނީހިގަމުއްނެވެ. ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާއަށް އަމާޒުކޮށް މިވެނި ވައުދެއް ނުފުއްދެވޭ ނޫންހޭ ބުނެއެއްވެސް މީހަކަށް އިނގިލިދިގުކޮށްލާނެ ޗާންސެއް ނެތެވެ. އެފަދަ ޗާންސެއް މިސަރުކާރަކުން ނުވެސް ދޭނެއެވެ.

މިމުބާރާތުގައި ވާދަކުރާ ޓީމް ތަކަކީ ދެކޮނު އަވަށު ދެޓީމް(ޑީ ޖޭ ޖީ، އާއި ސަދަރން ފްޓްބޯލް ކަލަބް) އުތުރު އަވަށު ދެޓީމް (ވައްކޯ ސްޕޯރޓްސް ކަލަބް އާއި ހަވިއްތަ ސްޕޯރޓްސް ކަލަބް) އެވެ. މުބާރާތުގެ ޗެއްމްޕިންއަށްދާ ޓީމްއަށް 100000 ރުފިޔާގެ ފައިސާގެ އިނާމް ލިބޭނެކަމަށް މުބާރާތުގެ އިންތިޒާމް ކޮމިޓީގެ ރައީސް އަހުލަމް ރުޝްދީ ވިދާޅުވިއެއެވެ.

A BABY boy has left doctors baffled after passages from the Koran were found on his skin.
The parents of nine-month-old Ali Yakubov were stunned when the word Allah appeared on his chin soon after his birth.

Since then scores of writings in Arabic script have emerged on his back, arms, legs and stomach.

Amazingly his family claim the old markings vanish before the new words arrive — twice a week.

Medics say they cannot explain his mysterious condition — but deny that the marks are from someone writing on the child's skin.

His mother, Madina, said that she and her husband were not religious until the words started appearing on his skin.

Initially they did not show anyone the unexplained scribbles, but eventually revealed them to their doctor.

Now the boy has become a focus of Muslim homage in his troubled home province of Dagestan, close to war-ravaged Chechnya in the south of Russia.

Local MP Akhmedpasha Amiralaev said: "This boy is a pure sign of God. Allah sent him to Dagestan in order to stop revolts and tension in our republic."

The tot's mother said: "Normally those signs appear twice a week - on Mondays and on the nights between Thursdays and Fridays.

"Ali always feels bad when it is happening. He cries and his temperature goes up.

"It's impossible to hold him when it's happening, his body is actively moving, so we put him into his cradle. It's so hard to watch him suffering."

The country's Federal Court dismissed a bid by McDonald's Corporation to overturn an Appeals Court ruling that allowed McCurry to keep its name.

McDonald's had failed to properly frame its questions when applying to challenge the Appeals Court's earlier verdict, Chief Judge of Malaya Ariffin Zakaria said.

"It is unfortunate that we have to dismiss the application with costs," the judge said.

A reporter found guilty of wearing "indecent" trousers in Sudan has been freed after spending a day in jail for refusing to pay a fine.

Lubna Hussein was released after the Islamic country's journalist union paid the £126 penalty, the head of the media body said.

The reporter was convicted of indecency charges on Monday in a case that attracted worldwide outcry.

A Khartoum court had ordered the former UN employee to pay a fine or face a month in jail - she was spared a harsher penalty of being lashed.

Ms Hussein had refused to pay the fine, preferring to go to jail as a means of challenging the decency law's legitimacy.

2-Nando Parrado: survived airplane crash and 72 days in the Andes

72 - Days of ordeal, Nando Parrado and other survivors of a plane crash in the Andes had to endure before being rescued. Flying over the mountains on a Friday the 13th, the young men and their families who boarded the charter plane joked about the unlucky day when the plane's wing hit the slope of the mountain and crashed. On impact, 13 passengers were instantly dead while 32 others were badly wounded. Hoping to be rescued, the survivors waited in the freezing -37C temperature, melting snow for drinks and sleeping side by side to keep themselves warm. Food was so scarce, everyone had to pool whatever food they can find for a rationed pool.

9 days after the crash, due to dire desperation and hunger, the survivors called for an important meeting. One member proposed that they eat the dead. The 2 hours meeting ended with a conclusion. If any of them died in the Andes, the rest had the permission to use the corpse as food. After 2 weeks, their hope of being found dashed when they found out via their radio transistor that the rescue effort was called off.

On the 60th day after the crash, Nando Parrado and 2 other friends decided to walk through the icy wilderness for help. By the time they left, Nando Parrado said, the crash site was “.. an awful place, soaked in urine, smelling of death, littered with ragged bits of human bone and gristle”. Wearing 3 pairs of jeans and 3 sweaters over a polo shirt, he and his friends trekked the mountains with human flesh as their ration.

Knowing that they must search for rescue, the team endured frozen snow, exhaustion and starvation, walking and climbing for 10 days before finding their way to the bottom of the mountain. The team was finally helped by a Chilean farmer who called the police for help. Parrado then guided the rescue team via a helicopter to the crash site.
On the 22nd December 1972, after enduring 72 brutal days, the world found out that there were 16 survivors who cheated death, in the mountain of Andes. 8 of the initial survivors died when an avalanche cascaded down on them as they slept in the fuselage.

During the ordeal, Nando Parrado lost 40 kg of his weight. He lost half his family in the crash. He is now a motivational speaker.

3-Jessica Cox: became the first pilot with no arms, proving you don't need 'wings' to fly

Jessica Cox suffered a rare birth defect and was born without any arms. None of the prenatal tests her mother took showed there was anything wrong with her. And yet she was born with this rare congenital disease, but also with a great spirit. The psychology graduate can write, type, drive a car, brush her hair and talk on her phone simply using her feet. Ms Cox, from Tuscon, Arizona, USA, is also a former dancer and double black belt in Tai Kwon-Do. She has a no-restrictions driving license, she flies planes and she can type 25 words a minute.

The plane she is flying is called an Ercoupe and it is one of the few airplanes to be made and certified without pedals. Without rudder pedals Jessica is free to use her feet as hands. She took three years instead of the usual six months to complete her lightweight aircraft licence, had three flying instructors and practiced 89 hours of flying, becoming the first pilot with no arms.

Sean isn't just a cancer survivor; he is truly a medical marvel. He is the only person in the world ever to have been diagnosed with both Hodgkin's disease and Askin's sarcoma. He was diagnosed in the fourth and final stage of Hodgkin's disease at the age of thirteen, when doctors expected him to live for no more than three months. He overcame his illness only to be stricken a second time when a deadly golf ball-sized tumor attacked his right lung. After removal of the Askin's tumor, Sean was expected to live for less than two weeks. A decade later and with only partial use of his lungs, Sean became famous for being the first cancer survivor to climb Mount Everest.

After the summit of Everest, Sean had the desire and dream to continue moving forward and reaching people around the world. Climbing the highest mountain on each continent became his next goal. Proving to others that anything is possible, Sean successfully summited Mt. McKinley, to be the first cancer survivor to complete the seven summits. 5-Ben Underwood: the boy who could “see” with his ears

Ben Underwood was a remarkable teenager, who loved to skateboard, ride his bicycle and play football and basketball. For the most part, the Californian 14-year-old was just like other kids his age. What made Underwood remarkable was his ability to master these activities despite the fact that he was blind. Underwood had both eyes removed after being diagnosed with retinal cancer at age two. To most people's amazement upon meeting him, he seemed completely unfazed by his lack of sight, defying common stereotypes about blindness as a disability. So how did he do it? The answer is echolocation: the sonar navigation technique used by bats, dolphins, several other mammals and some birds. As Underwood moved about, he habitually made clicking noises with his tongue; these sounds bounced off surfaces and, with each return, added to Underwood's perception of his surroundings.

He was so good at it that he could tell the difference between a fire hydrant and a rubbish bin, distinguish between parked cars and trucks, and — if you took him to a house he had never been to before — he would tell you he could 'see' a staircase in that corner and a kitchen in the other. He could even distinguish between different materials.

An unflinching faith in God guided Ben and his mother during his last few months as cancer spread to Ben's brain and spine. He finally died on January 2009 at the age of 16.

6-Liz Murray: from Homeless To Harvard

Elizabeth "Liz" Murray was born September 23, 1980 the Bronx, New York, to poor, drug-addicted, HIV-infected parents. She became homeless just after she turned 15, when her mother died of AIDS, and her father moved to a homeless shelter. Murray's life turned around when she began attending the Humanities Preparatory Academy in Chelsea, Manhattan. Though she started high school later than most students, and remained without a stable home while supporting herself and her sister, Murray graduated in only two years. She was awarded a New York Times scholarship for needy students and accepted into Harvard University, matriculating in the fall semester of 2000. She left Harvard in 2003 to care for her sick father; she resumed her education at Columbia University to be closer to him until 2006 when he died of AIDS. As of May 2008, she was back at Harvard working towards her degree with plans to graduate with a degree in Psychology in June 2009.

Her life became a movie in 2003 and she now works as a professional speaker, representing the Washington Speakers Bureau. That same gutsy strength that pulled her from the streets now transforms the lives of others, from student groups to business audiences in need of inspiration to overcome their own obstacles.

7-Patrick Henry Hughes: born blind and crippled, now "marches" in the Louisville marching band

Patrick is a remarkable young man who was born without eyes and without the ability to fully straighten his arms and legs, making him unable to walk. Additionally, two steel rods were
surgically attached to Patrick's spine to correct scoliosis.

Despite circumstances, Patrick has overcome these physical issues to excel as a musician and student. Patrick started playing the piano at the age of only nine months, and also plays the trumpet and sings. He even participates in the University of Louisville School of Music Marching and Pep Bands with help from his father (Patrick John Hughes), who tirelessly maneuvers his wheel chair through the formations with the other 220+ members of the
Cardinal Marching Band.

A virtuoso pianist, vocalist and trumpet player, Patrick has won numerous competitions, as well as winning awards acknowledging the circumstances he has overcome to achieve these heights. A Tainan court granted a man's request for divorce because his wife was "too shy" to consummate their marriage, after a year! The man surnamed Chen, a 38-year-old teacher from Tainan County was introduced to a woman surnamed Lin, 29, also a teacher, by a matchmaker.

After the couple dated for three months, they got married, but Lin refused to consummate the marriage. On the wedding night, Lin slept fully dressed and wrapped with a quilt. When Chen tried to sleep with her she pushed him away shouting: "You are ridiculous!", and returned to her mother's home the day next.

Through the matchmaker's mediation, Lin signed a contract agreeing to consummate the marriage but only for the purpose of procreation, and demanded to sleep separately. However, she did not live up to the pledge, cause Chen filed for divorce. Lin contested the divorce, claiming that she refused to consummate the marriage on the wedding night because she was too tired and was ill. But the judge said it was strange for Lin to refuse to consummate the marriage for one year, so he granted the divorce and ruled that Lin must compensate Chen NT$300,000 for buying an apartment, giving Lin's family a dowry and losing face because she did not consummate the marriage.

A Saudi Arabian man lived with his wife for 30 years without setting eyes on her face. His 50-year-old wife followed the tradition of her native village near the south-western city of Khamis Mushayt and kept her features veiled at all times.

One night the husband was overcome by curiosity and tried to lift his wife's veil as she slept to take a look at her face. It was an error he is unlikely to be given a chance to repeat for his outraged wife woke up during his sneak peek and decided to demand a divorce.

Georg Meister met his lover, 30 years younger, at work. The affair was exposed when they forgot to pull the curtains while having a 'quickie' in one of the centre's offices. His wife Ruth who was told about her husband's antics threw him out of their home and he moved in with his younger lover who lives just two doors down the road. The divorce court heard the couple had met over 60 years ago as Allied bombs fell on Bonn and have since raised three children together.

Thimarafushi MP Mohamed Mustafa has said that a leading figure and parliamentary group member of the opposition Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) provided financial assistance to his campaign.

Mustafa, MP of the ruling Maldivian Democratic Party, said he could not reveal the identity of the DRP MP, but said he was among the “five richest members in the party”.

“He came to me on his own and offered to help. He said, Mustafa, you've spent a lot of money on this campaign, why don’t I give you some help," he said.

The financial assistance from the DRP MP was of a “considerable amount” as his campaign against DRP candidate Mohamed Gassan Maumoon was “one of the most expensive campaigns in the country’s history”, Mustafa said.

Mustafa beat Gassan, son of former president and DRP leader Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, in a by-election on 11 July after the High Court ordered a re-vote in Thimarafushi.

The financial assistance was provided during the by-election and “not in the first round”, Mustafa said.

But in his death, I guess I realized how much I really do love his music and how much it has impacted me. When I watch "Heyanbo Reports " on the TVM today (before I found out the sad news), a huge smile crept up on my face. Once the report was over, I found my heart in tears.

Alleged exam cheats caught

The suspects, named Kim and Park, are accused of making around 50 million won (S$56,339) from 28 university students and job-seekers in exchange for answers to the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC), newspapers reported on Wednesday.

Women's groups are angry at the makers of Skinny Blonde Beer, a new product with a label that features a 1950s-style pin-up called Daisy whose bikini disappears as the beer is consumed. The beer has been called dangerous and sexist and complainers want the product banned.

An internet advertising campaign on the Skinny Blonde website allows users to pick their favourite "skinny blonde" and watch her undress.

The the website , launched last week has already received more than 60,000 hits.

Women's Forum Australia spokeswoman Melinda Tankard Reist slammed the beer and its advertising as degrading and inappropriate.

"This is another blatant example of the alcohol industry objectifying women to move product," she said.

To me abortion is wrong!! There isnt and can be no single justification in taking an innocent beings life. Although not yet a fully formed baby, it still has every right like anyone else to have a life regardless of anything else.

According to Islamic law it is utterly wrong for any healthy woman to abort her baby, however in extreme cases where the mother's life is at risk fatally abortions are permitted.

Worldwide over 42million abortions take place every year, that breaks down to approximately 115,000 abortions per day.

Contrary to wide-spread initial reports that the swine flu included bird, pig and human flu strains, doctors are now saying that the flu is solely made up from 2 strains of pig flu.

And while earlier reports put the number of confirmed cases in Mexico well above 100, the World Health Organization (WHO) is now giving the following update, revising the number of cases in Mexico sharply downwards:

As of 18:00 GMT, 29 April 2009, nine countries have officially reported 148 cases of swine influenza A/H1N1 infection. The United States Government has reported 91 laboratory confirmed human cases, with one death. Mexico has reported 26 confirmed human cases of infection including seven deaths.

The following countries have reported laboratory confirmed cases with no deaths - Austria (1), Canada (13), Germany (3), Israel (2), New Zealand (3), Spain (4) and the United Kingdom (5).

Energy Drinks Contain Caffeine

"Energy drinks" are meant to supply mental and physical stimulation for a short period of time. They usually contain caffeine, taurine (an amino acid, one of the building blocks of protein) and glucuronolactone, a carbohydrate.

"Energy drinks" should not be confused with sports drinks such as Battery or EXL , which re-hydrate the body. These sports drinks also provide sugars, which the body burns to create energy and replenish electrolytes. Electrolytes maintain salt and potassium balances in the body.

The problems with "energy drinks" arise when too many are consumed or when they are mixed with alcohol.

Red Bull, one of the most popular energy drinks, contains nearly 80 mg of caffeine per can, about the same amount of caffeine as a cup of brewed coffee and twice the caffeine as a cup of tea. Other energy drinks contain several times this amount. The amount of caffeine in an energy drink isn't always indicated on the label, so it is difficult to gauge how much one is consuming.

Another problem with energy drinks is that unlike hot coffee or tea, which is sipped slowly, it's common for typical energy drink consumers to drink large amounts quickly.

Some people are sensitive to caffeine and experience anxiety, palpitations, irritability, difficulty sleeping, and indigestion with relatively small amounts. People with heart conditions should avoid large amounts of caffeine, because it is a stimulant.

People drink them to keep up their energy during periods of intense physical activity or drink them after exercise to quench their thirst. But rather than re-hydrating their bodies, these drinks may actually lead to dehydration.

Because of the effects they have, some "energy drinks" may have to be regulated as natural health products under the Natural Health Product (NHP) Regulations, depending on their ingredients (such as caffeine and vitamins), and the claims they make. Under the regulations, natural health products have to undergo a review process for their quality and safety. They also have to display recommended conditions for use, as well as cautions.

If you drink "energy drinks," be aware of the following.

Do not drink excessive amounts of Red Bull Energy Drink. The limit on Red Bull Energy Drink is 500 mL or two cans a day, as indicated on the product label.

Do not mix Red Bull Energy Drink with alcohol.

If you engage in intense physical activity or exercise, drink enough water to help re-hydrate your system.

Lets analyze the last appointments of Under secretaries, Dr.Isam is an experienced PhD holder educated in one of the best university of Canada. To get a doctorate is not a joke in North American prestigious university. Under Nasheed's administration people like Ziyad and Furahani Shuaib without any tertiary education are equal to doctorates in the filed.

Another similar example is Shauna a fresh graduate without any experience in any filed is also an under secretary, the problem is how can these young people without any political awareness and experience serve the people. I think these youg people should get interns job in the administration so that they can gain experience and learn before they were appointed as deputy minister level jobs.

A piece of paper with six names is not going to make any difference. Think again and again. How can ordinary people oust king from his own land by simply saying “No” to him? We all think we are smart, but we are not. King is not going to leave this land. No way! he is not going to leave “Theemu ge”. Theemu ge was built for the King. Maybe all his children are registered under Theemu ge. How can he let his children get unsheltered? King is in power for 30 years. How can he let his lavish life take away.

Even if majority of Maldivian votes are against King, he is simply not going to leave his palace & kingdom of Maldive Resorts & Spa!. If we need to remove him and his family, we should keep coffins ready because he might get heart attack. Remember once there was gun shoot at Theemu ge? They said it was an error. These King’s loyalists may shoot ordinary people and may blame their gun saying its on “Faulty condition”. So, its quite dangerous to try to get into palace.

We all think “Theemuge” is presidential palace, but this is wrong. This place is built for the king and his family. If you think this is absurd, check who owns these number and under which name and address these numbers are registered. 7922024 & 7922029. When you check from Dhiraagu e-directory, it says “Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, Theemu Ge, Orchid Magu, M........”

It clearly says “Theemu ge” and under the king of Kingdom of Maldive Resorts & Spa. Do you think an ordinary person can register under “Theemu ge” of course NO! because this palace belongs to King.

If we really need a change, I think the only solution ahead of us is “Aneh Dhivehi Rajje”. We can let King be ruler of his own country until he dies! We don’t have to worry about it and we all can migrate to “Aneh Dhivehi Rajje” I really cannot think of any other solution. This is the easiest and most convenient change ahead of us.

One of the reasons why the Blessed month of Ramadan is important is because it was during this month that the Holy Qur'an was revealed. The night when Angel Jibrael first came to the Prophet Muhammad (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) to bring him the divine message.

Lailatul Qadr means The Night of Power, or the Night of Decree. This is a special night, and is the most important night for those Muslims who are fasting.

So when is Lailatul Qadr? Well, it is not known exactly which night of the month of Ramadan it is, but it falls in the last ten days of Ramadan, and believed to be in the Odd Nights - that means the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th. Many people also believe that Lailatul Qadr is on the 27th Night, because this was the night that it was originally on.

So what happens on this night? On this night, people who fast try and make even more ibadah (worship) than the other nights in Ramadan. It is better than a thousand months, and so is very special and unique. Muslims try to read more Qur'an and perform nafil salats. They make more Dhikr and Remmeber Allah more. Peace it is, until the break of Dawn."Many Muslims stay up all Night in ibadah, so that they could take advantage of this special Night, because it only comes once a year.

Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) has explained how special Lailatul Qadr is in the Qur'an:

"Surely we have revealed the Qur'an on the Night of Al-Qadr;

The Night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months;

The Angels and the Spirit (Jibrael) Descend in it

by their Lords' permission, with every decree.

Peace it is, until the break of Dawn."

After serving 4 years, he resigned from Golha's cabinet saying that whole government has failed and joined Jumhoory party. They elected him as a presidential candidate of them.

It bugs me a lot when people make promises that they forget. It annoys me more when people make promises that are so weird, like building bridges connecting all the islands of Maldives. Recently, our dictator made the promise of building bridges and connecting the whole country. It seems to me that he still thinks that the Maldivians are naive. އަޅުގަނޑު ޤާސިމު އިބްރާހީމް މިސިޓީ މަނިކުފާނުގެ އަރިއަހަށް މިލިޔަނީ ވަރަށް އަދަބުވެރިކަމާއެކު އަޅުގަނޑުގެ ހާލަތުގެ ވާހަކައިން ދަންނަވައި އަޅުގަޑަށް ދިމާވެ ފައިވާ މިބޮޑު މުސީބާތުން ސަލާމަތް ކޮށްދެއްވާތޯ އާދޭސްދެން ނެވުމަށެވެ. މިކަމަށްޓަކައި މާތް ﷲ ނޫން ދެވަނަ ފަރާތަކުން އެހީއަކަށް އެދުމުގައި މަނިކުފާނުފިޔަވައި އެހެން އެއްވެސް ފަރާތެއް ނެތްކަން އަޅުގަޑަށް ޤަބޫލުކުރެވޭތީ މަނިކުފާނުގެ އޯގާވެރި ކަމާ ރަހުމަށް އެދި ދެންނެވުމަށެވެ.
އިއްޒަތްތެރި ރައީސެވެ. ކުށް ކުރެވެނީ އިންސާނުންނަށެވެ. ﷲ ދެއްވާ ނިޢުމަތް ތަކުގެ ސަބަބުން އުޅެންވީ މަގު ހަދާންނެތި ދުނިޔޭގައި އެމީހެއްގެ މަޤާމް އޮޅެނީވެސް ހަމައިންސާނުންނަށެވެ. އަޅުގަޑަކީވެސް މިދެންނެވިފަދަ ގޮތް ތަކެއް ދިމާވެފައިވާ އިންސާނެކެވެ. އަޅުގަޑަކީވެސް އުޅެންވީމަގު ހދާންނެތި އަޅުގަޑުގެ މަޤާމު އޮޅިގެންއުޅެވުނު އިންސާނެކެވެ. މިއަދު އަޅުގަޑަށް އެކަން ހަމަރަޅަށް އިޙުސާސް ކުރެވެމުން ދެއެވެ. މިއަދު އަޅުގަޑު އެދެނީ އެކަންކަމުން ތައުބާވެ ހެޔޮ ގޮތުގައި ދިރިއުޅުން ކުރިއަށް ގެންދިއުމުގެ ފުރުސަތު އަޅުގަޑަށް ލިބުމެވެ.
އޯގާތެރި ރައީސްއެވެ. އަޅުގަޑުގެ ޙަޔާތުގައި މަނިކުފާނުގެ އަރިހުގައި އުޅެންދިމާވި ތަފާތު ދުވަސް ތަކުގައި މަނިކުފާނު އަޅުގަޑާމެދު ބެހެއްޓެވި އޯގާވެރި ކަމާއި ހެޔޮފުޅުކަން އަޅުގަޑު އަބަދުވެސް ހަދާންކުރަމެވެ. އެއްގެއެއްގެ މީހެއްގެގޮތުން އެއް ޢާއިލާއެއްގެ މީހެއްގެގޮތުން އަޅުގަޑާ ދޭތެރޭގައި ބަހައްޓަވާ ގާތްކަން އަބަދުވެސް ހިތުގައި އޮވެއެވެ. އަދި ސަރުކާރުގެ އެންމެއިސް ވެރިއެއްގެ މަޤާމު ލިބި ވަޑައި ގަތުމަށްފަހުވެސް އެގާތްކަން ބަހައްޓަވަމުން ގެންދަވާކަން ހިތުގެ އަޑިން ޤަބޫލުކުރަމެވެ. އޭގެ އިތުރަށް އަޅުގަޑުގެ ވިޔަފާރީގެ މަސައްކަތް ތަކުގައި ރަސްމީގޮތުން ވެދެއްވަމުން ގެންދަވާފައިވާ އެހީފުޅުތައްވެސް އަބަދުވެސް އަޅުގަޑަށް ވަޒަންކުރެވެއެވެ.
މިހެންކަން ހުރުމާއެކު މިއަދު އަޅުގަޑު މަނިކުފާނުގެ އަރިއަހަށް މިފަދަ އާދޭހުގެ ސިޓީއެއް މިލިޔަނީ ވަރަށް ލަދުން ހުރެއެވެ. ވަރަށް ނިކަމެތިވެ ހުރެމެއެވެ. ނަމަވެސް ކުރީންވެސް ދެންނެވި ފަދައިން މަނިކުފާނުގެ ހެޔޮފުޅު ކަމާއި ހިތްޕުޅުގެ ރަހުމުގެ ސަބަބުން އަޅުގަޑަށް މިސިޓީފޮނުވައި އާދޭސް ދަންނަވަން ކެރުނީއެވެ.
ޢިއްޒަތްތރި ރައީސްއެވެ. އަޅުގަޑު ނުހަނު އާދޭހާއެކު މިދަންނަވަނީ އަޅުގަޑަށް ކުރެވިފައިވާ މަނިކުފާނު ހިތްޕުޅު ހަމަޖެހިވަޑައި ނުގަންނަވާ އެންމެހާ ކަންތައް ތަކަށް އަޅުގަޑަށް މަޢާފު ކޮށްދެއްވާށެވެ. އަޅުގަޑުގެ މައްސަލަ ޝަރީޢަތަށް ނުފޮނުއްވައި މައާފުކޮށް ދެއްވާށެވެ. އަދި އަޅުގަޑަށް ޖެހިފައިވާ ބައްޔަށް ފަރުވާ ލިބިގަތުމަށް ޖަރުމަނަށް ދިއުމަށް އަޅުގަޑުވަނީ ކޮންމެހެން ބޭނުންވެފައެވެ. ވީހާވެސް އަވަހަކަށެވެ. އަޅުގަޑަށް – މަނިކުފާނަށާއި ދިވެހިޤައުމަށް ތެދުވެރިކަމާއެކު ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ޚިދުމަތްކުރުމުގައި ދެމިހުރެވޭނެގޮތް ހައްދަވައި ދެއްވުމަށެވެ.
ޢިއްޒަތްތެރި ރައީސްއެވެ. އަޅުގަޑަށް މަޢާފުކޮށް ދެއްވައިފިނަމަ އަޅުގަޑުގެ ފަރާތުން ދެންއޮތްހާ ދުވަހަކު އަޅުގަޑު ހުންނާނީ ސިޔާސީ ހުރިހާ ކަމަކާ ވަކިވެގެންކަން – މަނިކުފާނަށް ޔަގީންފުޅުކޮށް އަރުވަމެވެ. އަދި އަޅުގަޑުގެ އާއިލާގެ މީހުންނާއި ތިމާގެމީހުންނާއި އަޅުގަޑުގެ މުވައްޒިފުންވެސް ސިޔާސީ ކަންތައްތަކުގައި ބައިވެރިވުން މަނާކުރާނެ ކަމުގެ ޔަގީންކަންވެސް މަނިކުފާނަށް އަރުވަމެވެ. އޭގެބަދަލުގައި އަޅުގަޑު ހުންނާނީ އިއްޒަތްތެރި ރައީސް އެދިވަޑައިގެންނެވި ގޮތަކަށް ރައްޔިތުންނާއި ގައުމަށް ޚިދުމަތް ކުރާށެވެ. އަބަދުވެސް މަނިކުފާނަށް އަދި މަނިކުފާނަށްފަހުވެސް ދެންހުންނަވާ ވެރިއަކަށް އިޚްލާސްތެރިކަންމަތީ ޚިދުމަތް އަދާކުރުމުގައެވެ.
ޢިއްޒަތްތެރި ރައީސްއެވެ. ﷲ ސުބުހާނަހޫ ވަތަޢާލާ އަށްފަހު މިއަދު އަޅުގަޑުގެ ޙާލާއި މެދު ރަހުމަތްވެވަޑައިގެން ދެއްވޭނެ ފަރާތަކީ ހަމަ ތިޔަމާތް މަނިކުފާނެއެވެ. ﷲ ސުބުހާނަހޫ ވަތަޢާލާ ފިޔަވައި އަޅުގަޑަށް އެއްވެސް އެހީއެއް ދެއްވޭނެ ފަރާތަކީވެސް ހަމަ ތިޔަ ޢިއްޒަތްތެރި މަނިކުފާނެވެ. އަޅުގަޑު މިސިޓީ މިއަރިސް ކުރަނީ އަޅުގަޑުގެ ޙަޔާތުގައި ދިމާވި އެންމެ ނިކަމެތި ދުވަސްތަކުގައެވެ. އެހީއަކަށް އެދޭނެ އެއްވެސް ފަރާތެއް ﷲ ފިޔަވާ ނެތް ވަގުތެއްގައެވެ. މިވަގުތު މަނިކުފާނު އަޅުގަޑާއި މެދު ހަމްދަރުދީވެ ވަޑައިގެން ރަހުމް ނުކުރައްވައިފިނަމަ އަޅުގަޑުގެ ޙާލު ވަރަށް ނިކަމެތި ވެގެންދާނެއެވެ.
މުވާއެކު، އަޅުގަޑުގެ މިއާދޭސް ގަބޫލު ކުރައްވާނެކަމުގެ އުއްމީދުގައި ﷲ ގެ ހަޞްރަތަށް ދުޢާކުރާހާލު މިސިޓީ މަނިކުފާނުގެ އަރިއަހަށް ފޮނުވީމެވެ. ސިޓީގައި ކުށެއްވާނަމަ މަޢާފަށް އެދެމެވެ.

1. Shaugee decides to quit because he wants to join Gasim and Republican Party.

2. Gayoom says no way. You cannot join Gasim, if so I will kill your character.

3. Gayoom orders Mundhud (stupid frog-like blabbing mouth) to spread allegation stories of Gayoom, and decides to fire him before he quits.

4. Shaugee gets to know about it and tell Gayoom, if you dont stop this he will start talking about all the resort corruption that has happend before him and join Republican Party.

5. Gayoom orders Mundhud to say "its not true" i did not do it.

6. Shaugee demands Mundhud to be fired for spreading this. Gayoom says "I cannot", I am scared of this boy. He knows too much about my dirty laundry.

7. Shaugee says then I quit. Gayoom says dont, I will not accept it, so you have to stay. I will force you to stay and slowly take the wind out of you.

8. Shaugee says ok sir, what can I do. Gayoom says, then make the university and call it University of Gayoom. Shaugee says that is a great name for our national university.

9. Gayoom finally accepts resignation so he will get University of Gay-yoom.

10. After quiting Shaugee leaves DRP, that makes Gayoom very angry because next he will say it would be independent University, not Gayoom University.

11. Gayoom is now planning to fabricate corruption story, take Shaugee to Dhoonidhoo, and let him end there for not giving him his dream of Gay-yoom University.
